A unique resource in the province, the Providence Health Care Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver provides complete care for British Columbians with all kinds of heart disease.
ATTENTION: On January 10, 2021, the Medical Health Officer expanded the declared COVID-19 outbreak for unit 5A at St. Paul’s Hospital to include unit 5B and the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). Click here for more information.
These units are closed to new admissions and transfers at this time. All visitation has been suspended until the outbreak measures have been lifted; the exception being for compassionate visits at the end of life.
Heart Centre Patients:
Patient care and services will be maintained in the Heart Centre areas that are not impacted by the outbreaks. As a provincial referral site for cardiac care, we will also continue to work with our regional and provincial partners, including Cardiac Services BC, to maintain access to cardiac care for patients and families.
